is located on Adriatic Main Road 5 km from
Omis in the direction of Makarska.
OMIS is located on Adriatic Main Road
between Split and Makarska. There is a local
bus service from Split (approx. every 1/2
hour), but passengers can use any city bus
service to Makarska or Dubrovnik.
You can reach Omis:
By Car
from Austria and Hungary through Zagreb and
Split, and
from Italy through Rijeka and Split
By Bus
from all big cities to Split, and then by
local bus (every 1/2 hour) to Omis, or
by long distance buses on their regular tours
to Makarska or Dubrovnik
By Train
from Zagreb to Split and then by bus
By Plain
to Split Airport and then by bus
By Boat
from Rijeka and Ancona (Italy) to Split harbour
and then by bus
A driving licence, traffic licence and the
relevant insurance documents (except for countries
that have other regulations) are necessary
for entry into Croatia with a vehicle.
Speed and Alcohol Limits:
Speed: 50 km/h in settlements, 80 km/h
out of settlements (unless stated differently)
and 130 km/h on highways.
Maximum allowed alcohol in the blood:
0.5 per thousand (0r 0.05 percent)
Petrol pumps: open from 7 a.m. to 8
a.m. every day; in the summer season till
10 p.m. On-duty petrol pumps in bigger cities
and on main international roads are open 24
hours.
Petrol pumps sell: Eurosuper 95, Eurosuper
98, Super 98, Normal and Diesel fuel
Taxi service - in all cities and tourist
places
Car rental - in all bigger cities,
tourist centres and airports.

In case of need of technical road assistance,

Except of mentioned activities, in case
of need Croatian automobile club organizes
and executes:
- group transport of broken down cars, abandoned
cars or cars damaged in car accidents up to
more than 200 km
- placing and keeping of vehicles
Above mentioned jobs of technical assistance
are performed by auto clubs associated into
Croatian automobile club, and by contractural
associates that are marked by suitable Croatian
automobile club stickers.
